The obituary states "He will be missed beyond words and we take some

feeding them for years. The Bible is clear that the dead know nothing, that
they are in the ground waiting for the second coming of the Lord, they will
not go to heaven until judged worthy of such. For the parents or the
churches to claim that their son is in heaven means that they are judging
the son, and have judged him worthy of the great honor. They taught the son
to turn trees into decorated idols, now they are having him cremated like he
was a God-damned Hindu, and then have the audacity to claim that their
smitten son is in heaven. The death was not an accident, the kid was
smitten. The churches teach that the dead are in heaven because they desire
to make the family feel good about supporting the church. And by teaching
that the dead are in heaven, this opens the door to necromancy (talking to
the dead) and other forms of spirituality where the dead individual is
provided with god-like attributes, as in this case where it is bluntly
stated that Jordan is now taking care of the family. Believing that

Deaths (01/20/04)
WISSER _ Jordan Alexander, age 12, passed away accidentally on Saturday,
January 17, 2004 at home. He was born in Saskatoon on June 12, 1991. He is
survived by his loving parents, Kerry and Sally and by his big brother Joel
and big sister Laura. He is also dearly loved by his extended families:
Grandma Doreen Wisser; Kevin and Carol Wisser and children Josh, Callie, and
Lannie; Karen and John Bosker and children Brock and Brent; Kristine and
Tony Goulding and children Adree and Farren. Grandma Katie Smith; John and
Carol Smith and children Candice (Gary) Augustyn and Ryan; Brian Smith and
Mike, and by his "Doucie-dog" Kate. Jordan was pre-deceased by his two
Grandpas, George Wisser and George Smith. Jordan will be missed by his Grade
7 class at James L. Alexander School, his teachers and many friends. Jordan
had a love for the outdoors, enjoying many family trips to our cottage at
Waden Bay. He loved to camp and looked so forward to his Winter Camp next
weekend with the 69th Boy Scout Troop. He loved Nintendo and playing board
games, especially when we were together as a family at the lake. Jordan also
enjoyed going to the rink with his buddies to play scrimmage. Jordan was a
unique individual and a generous, caring person, in a quiet, considerate
way. Whenever we were feeling down Jordan always had a hug to make us feel
better. He will be missed beyond words and we take some solace in knowing
Jordan is in heaven taking care of us now. The Funeral Service will be held
on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeview Free Methodist Church
(130 Kingsmere Place) with Pastor Dean Angell officiating. Cremation to
follow. Donations in Jordan's memory can be made to Scouts Canada
Saskatchewan Provincial Council (2811 Estey Drive, Saskatoon, S7J 2V8) or
the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, S7H
0S5). Arrangements have been entrusted to Lynn Constantinoff of HILLCREST

Fascinating. It's like he's trying to take chaos and bind it into
whatever rules he can find, religious, logical and otherwise. Numbers
and math have a reliable pattern, something that can always be proven
to true or false. People and religion do not. It reminds me of Darren
Aronofsky's movie Pi. It's the story of an paraniod genius who is
trying to find a pattern in Pi. A group that takes interest in his
work is convinced that the existence of Pi, a number whose existence
can be proven but no quantified, is proof of the existence of God.
Kabatoff's hunt for patterns in something as random as name selection
is a way to reconcile his deeply logical thought process with his
conflicting religious views.

Shawn once went to a funeral for a Jehovah Witness that shot himself
and the lemon tarts were very bad, they were not only sour but were
rubbery as well. Shawn said that the guy was some kind of Jehovah
Witness prophet, he saw in advance that the lemon tarts at his funeral
were to be very very bad, and so he shot himself. Shawn said that he
never ate pumpkin pie at a funeral but would like to some day. Shawn
likes pumpkin pie and so I have been practicing to make very good
pumpkin pies.

I knew of him when I was attending the University of Saskatchewan.
He'd hang out in the Arts computer lab and all you'd see is screens of
numbers racing by on his laptop. I have an original copy of his
"Collecting Mail for the Coming Anti-Christ" pamphlet, and have seen
him be hauled away by campus security on more than one occasion. My
friends and I refer to him as "Crazy Number Man".

I've been posting to (and about) Shawn for over two years with big
gaps in between. He has seen Pi and didn't like it and didn't think it
resembled him at all. (Wrong, it fits him to a tee) He doesn't have
total recall and has stated that he travels with a lap top to notate
items. Also, he uses "cut n' paste" a lot if you read all the way
through his ramblings. He is anti-social as shown by his angry
statements towards those who, by his own admission, have been kind
(but not kind enough) to him. Still, he's intelligent and seems to be
able to "take a joke" on occassion. That's where I came in.
